The squirrels in Kokomo are red and as big as my cat. So odd after a lifetime of tiny gray KY and NC squirrels. I think a comparison of these two will be a taxonomy/classification project for the kids. Teachable moments.

Today's Kokomo treasure...tulips.
Spring is a little later here than in Georgetown.
We are enjoying a second helping of crabapple, cherry, and apple trees.
Nice.

May 1, 2013 :: may day picnic

The kids and I drove up to spend the end of the week and weekend with Todd in Kokomo. We arrived just in time for a picnic at Highland Park, a beautiful community park close to campus. It will probably see a lot of the Gambill family this summer.

A great way to start May.
